Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil - May 10, 2024.

The death toll from heavy rains in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul has risen to 127, the local civil defence said on Saturday, up from 126 the previous day.
In addition, another 125 people are still unaccounted for, the official report said.
Storms and flooding in the southernmost state of the South American country, home to some 10.9 million people, have also left nearly 340,000 people displaced, according to the local civil defence.
