Atlanta, GA, USA - March 28, 2024

In a startling turn of events on March 28, 2024, the E911 Communications Center was alerted to a concerning situation by a vigilant caller reporting a break-in at a vacant residence nearby. However, the gravity of the situation was compounded by the inability of the dispatcher to locate the address initially, as the property was newly constructed and not yet recognized in the system.

Undeterred by the initial setback, the dispatcher swiftly devised an innovative solution, sending a link to the caller's phone to pinpoint the precise location of the incident. This crucial information enabled Zone 6 Officers to expedite their response, arriving promptly at the scene to assess the situation.

Upon arrival, officers were met with tangible evidence of a break-in, with a shattered glass door bearing testament to the intrusion. Demonstrating remarkable vigilance, officers meticulously searched the premises, uncovering the presence of a male suspect concealed within a closet.

Identified as Declarence McGhee, the male suspect was promptly taken into custody and charged with Criminal Damage to Property. Subsequently, he was transported to the Fulton County Jail to await further legal proceedings.
