A video has emerged of a nasty car crash at a junction close to Washington DC, USA.

The footage, shot last week with a dash-cam, shows the moment a car violently rammed into another vehicle that was turning a corner.

Explaining the event, the filmer wrote online: "The white car turned too early and was actually turning up an off-ramp for a parkway, they were supposed to go through the intersection before making a left.

"When the white car made the left turn the two cars had little to no chance of stopping before hitting."
