Dramatic footage of black smoke rising from a building in central Paris on Friday.

The video, shot from an office in the Tour Montparnasse, shows the immediate aftermath of what has been reported as a gas explosion by local media.

"We felt the blast of the explosion, we immediately thought about a terror attack but after seeing the building we thought it might be gas," the filmer wrote online.
