During the Major League baseball clash between Oakland and Detroit on Saturday, an angry fan was involved in a physical altercation in which a taser was used.

It’s unclear what started the confrontation, but spectator video records yelling of the crowd and shows a man in a tan shirt throwing his hands in the air in frustration. Moments later police push through people towards this man.

The officers turn him around and begin to handcuff him to boos from the crowd. A few seconds later, the man being arrested turns on the officers and begins to physically fight against them. At one point the man frees himself from one officer’s grasp and leaps at another.

As the situation escalated, someone can be heard saying “Taser him! Taser him!”

About a half a dozen police and security officers attempt to bring the man under control before a stun gun is used. After being shot with this electrifying device, the man is more compliant and handcuffed.
