This is the footage, shot on Wednesday, of approximately 10 months old common musk turtle. She runs always very guickly against the glass. She probably thinks the aquarium is much more bigger than it really is.
„It´s our Zofka. We don´t know if it is male or female but we gave her female name. She does that very often and she can run very fast also on dry land,“ said mother from Prague, Czech republic.
They bought Zofka last September as she was only few days or weeks old. „It was a gift for our two daughters for school certifikate. She was very lazy at the beginning. She nearly didn´t move and din´t eat much also. But when she grew up a little bit she became very speedy.“
Sternotherus odoratus also known as the common musk turtle is a species of small turtle. They grow to approximately 14 cm (5.5 in). Due to their small size they are favourite pets.
