Newborn Fallow Deer first steps - June 2016
Mom had just given birth when my husband noticed the pair sitting alone quite a distance away from the herd. The mother deer was sitting a few feet from her fawn trying to coax her calf to get up and walk to her. After a couple of failed attempts to stand, we were fortunate enough to catch the moment the fawn finally was able to stand and take its first wobbly steps.
