Violence in Cape Town
Violence erupted in Cape Town city centre on Wednesday after demonstrators rallied outside the office of Premier Helen Zille, protesting against the DA (Democratic Alliance) provincial government.
Stalls at St George's Mall were reportedly looted by some protestors.
This footage shows the moment when protests got out of control, with gunshots being fired by stall owners to disperse looters.
The video also records a stall owner beating a man, presumed to be a looter, with a pole.
