Amazing footage of a circus performer putting on a rather dangerous-looking human fireworks display.

The video, filmed in Detroit, USA on July 4, shows Andrew "Danger" Stoicu, who's been performing with fire for six years, creating the amazing display with Purple Rain fireworks in an old industrial building in the famous city.

While the stunt looks amazing, he was keen to let people know that it was extremely dangerous and shouldn't be attempted by anyone who isn't trained.

He later wrote online: "There are a mountain of safety measures in place that are not visible in this video.

"I have a safety crew on hand with a combined experience of decades; I'm covered head to toe in multiple layers of safety gear including a gas mask to protect my lungs."

"We took a few videos but this was the first attempt, so this one is my favorite," he continued.

"I was definitely a little nervous."

This video is basically how you turn yourself into a human fireworks show. It's incredibly dangerous. Filmed under a train trestle in an industrial area of Detroit. I've been a professional fire and circus entertainer for 6 years. This is a modification of a circus art called poi. I'm basically using Purple Rain fireworks instead of the typical Kevlar fire heads you would use for standard poi. It's pretty rare and takes a massive amount of practice and training to be able to do something like this. Definitely a crazy stunt. Kinda like being in and exploding ball of doom.
