Real life Bambi on ice!
In Russia, some men found a deer stuck on the ice and tried to help move it off. Each time it tried to get up and run away, its legs caved in, and the deer fell down. Her legs were splayed out beneath her and she couldn't get up on the slick surface.
Eventually, she made it safely off of the ice.
On a number of occasions, dead deer have been found on such frozen lakes.
