Sudden change of weather, from cloudy / overcast and calm, to a wind force strong enough to suck and rip a large inflatable slide that was well tied down, over 30 feet in the air, over a tree. Many funnel clouds were seen minutes afterwards. No children were on the ride at the time, as they were cleared off when the rain started. The Large Yellow/Pink Inflatable (on the Left) can be seen, just minutes before the Funnel Clouds hit. The day in question was calm and overcast, there was quite a heavy shower earlier in the day, with One loud rumble of thunder, this gave way to the overcast situation again for a few hours before the big one hit. It was overcast again shortly after but was decidedly cooler. The tent where I was sheltering, also started to lift with the wind but soon dropped. The County Linx Radio mobile bus suffered damage to a window when one of their speakers fell backwards and smashed the glass. Hence the X of black tape on the window. No Children were in danger at anytime, as the ride operators cleared them off when the rain started, well in advance of the involuntary flight. The inflatable was very well anchored down. The negative pressure lifted the thing with such force, it ripped the "o" rings from their stitching and left the ropes on the ground, still attached to the stakes.
