Alps Fall Broken Leg and Ankle
We were hiking in the alps at 12000 feet and I slipped and broke my leg and ankle, 3 bones. Mobile phone went flat so my girlfriend had to try and find help in the mountains. 2 hours later a helicopter turned up and rescued me. 10 days in a Swiss hospital and I have video of the injury and after 3 operations metalwork photos. Had driven to the alps so car was also left as we had to be flown home. Awful!!
