Adorable footage of a kitten snuggling up to his "foster dad", a fully grown Alaskan Malamute-German Shepherd cross.

The video, filmed in Newscastle, UK on May 10, shows the four-week-old orphan kitten - called Columbus - sharing some cuddles with the two-year-old dog called Rook, who appears to be incredibly gentle.

The filmer later wrote online: "We brought four kittens home as their mother had gone missing for several days and a member of the public had become concerned.

"I work in a UK veterinary practice and often look after sick and abandoned animals."

"Our lovely Rook always helps us to care for them but this time he really has become a surrogate daddy to these four, and has developed a particular attachment to Columbus, the ginger and white boy," she continued.
