A dramatic video has emerged from Australia of a motorbike rider crashing with a car after losing control of his bike.

The dash-cam footage, captured on August 10, shows the rider careering into oncoming traffic, hitting the car and rolling over the bonnet.

''The motorbike rider took the corner too fast, lost control of his bike and fell into the path of oncoming traffic,'' the filmer later wrote online.

''I was able to stop in time, but he slid across the front of my car as he performed an almost perfect somersault.''

''He returned to his bike, and after a short conversation, in which I was sure he was fine, he rode off,'' he added.

Travelling along Marton Street, Shortland NSW when I approached the intersection of King St and Marton St. The motorbike rider took the corner too fast, lost control of his bike and fell into the path of oncoming traffic.
