Drone footage, captured on October 9, has emerged from the Bay Area of California showing the aftermaths of the ongoing fires in Sonoma, Santa Rosa and Napa County.

The video highlights the morning after the violent night, between October 8 and 9, that accounted for 40 fatalities and more than 200 missing in the area.

The footage shows the frightening landscape of destroyed homes and charred hillside that, according to local reports, will face devastating consequences on the wine production.

"I really wanted to capture the intensity of the smoke throughout the Bay Area, because its not something you see everyday," the filmer wrote.

This film was shot using a DJI Mavic Pro Drone flying over the Berkeley Hills in the Bay Area of California. The sky was very hazy because of the ongoing fires in Sonoma, Santa Rosa, and Napa.
