This is the moment when the Pontiac Silverdome, house of one of the only N.F.L. teams never to make it to the Super Bowl, stood strong instead of imploding in Detroit, Michigan.

Everything started as planned, hundreds of people gathered to watch the show on Sunday morning (December 4), at 8.30 AM the explosives were detonated and "we saw (and heard) was a lot of small explosions... but the Silverdome stood strong" comments the filmer.

The house of the Detroit Lions from 1975 to 2001 finally gave up on Monday afternoon following a partial implosion.

We woke up early on December 3, 2017 to head over to the Pontiac Silverdome to watch the implosion - the scheduled time was to be at 8:30 est. A much larger crowd had gathered than what was expected, but we found our parking spot and made our way to a great vantage point to watch the event. What we saw (and heard) was a lot of small explosions.....but the Silverdome stood strong!
