Rides & Wipeouts
Heavy waves break across remote and shallow Cornish rocks. Some young surfers turn up to ride them. Some waves they make, but this is an extreme sport, and you have to pay the piper to ride here. No-one went home without suffering several severe wipeouts!
Sometimes the surfer's board can be seen 'tombstoning' after a fall, as they are tumbled around under water by the crashing waves, picking up 'reef tattoos' as they are dragged across the razor sharp rocks.
On other waves they disappear from view as they ride the tube and get one of the sport's best adrenaline rushes.
