LeeVees and Zambonis Dave Schneider 1965 Gibson damaged by Delta 1
My name is Dave Schneider. I have 2 rock bands. The Zambonis (songs only about hockey) and The LeeVees. The LeeVees are my self and Adam from the great band Guster. LeeVees were on tour in 2012. We had our guitars with us. Mine was my favorite treasured 1965 ES-335 Gibson. As always, we checked before we booked the flights and were told, "the guitars would not have to be checked and could come on the plane with us". Usually they would put them in the coat closet as a courtesy cause it was a vintage instrument. Well, in Buffalo, no matter what I said, the girl at the gate refused to listen and said it would have to be gate checked ie go to the belly of the plane etc etc. Well, when getting off the plane, I said to my bandmate Adam, I got a bad vibe on this and immediately started filming. This clip is just of the results but on another clip, I have them unloading the guitar and sending it to the dreaded elevator shaft where they raise up the guitar. What you see in this clip is the mishap of that process. The guitar came up the shaft and actually got stuck, wedged in the door of the elevator. A horrible noise happened for about 2 minutes ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh That sound was my guitar and case being shredded. That is what you are looking at here.
