Fast VW Beetle Sleeper Surprises People On The Track

Buy video

A 1972 VW Beetle that was built by myself and a couple of friends (Chris & Graham) is a big surprise for many people on the track or on the streets. It has a Kennedy stage 2 clutch on a 1300 transaxle gearbox and a 2 Litre Subaru Impreza engine squeezed into the back and a radiator mounted up front. The exhaust is from a Yamaha Motorbike and keeps it fairly quiet. It does 0-60mph in around 6.5 seconds and keeps accelerating hard. Loads of fun to surprise boy racers with. Leaves Porsches for dead and best of all, it looks like a heap of rubbish so nobody expects it.
