Midwife mum inspired by Mo Salah scores amazing free kick
A UK mother inspired by Liverpool sensation Mo Salah scored this amazing free kick while playing with her son.
In the video, filmed on Monday (April 2) at an all-weather pitch in Brent, not far from the home of football, Wembley Stadium, mum and midwife Dawn Sutton - who lives with her family in Hanwell, west London, is seen hitting a beautiful long-distance strike into the top corner of the net.
In goal is her son William, who plays for Fulham under-nines.
Dawn explains: "My middle son (in goal) plays for Fulham under-nines and me and his dad often take him for extra training sessions and to burn off extra energy along with his other two brothers.
"I often get involved with the drills and shooting practice. I don’t play for anyone but spent a little time a couple of years ago doing some sessions with women’s football with a couple of girls that worked for Brentford.
"Anytime we train I’m always getting stuck in making sure my boys can see what women are capable of!
"I’m a Fulham fan and attend matches there where my boy often is a ball boy but LOVE Liverpool. I love (Mo) Salah, (an) amazing player! On the day we took this video I was working on 'pinging' the ball. When the ball went in I was very pleased and glad the boys got to see it too.
"One of my son's objectives at Fulham at the moment is shooting so it was good for him to see it and hopefully will help inspire his already very natural ability."
