The bands from two Guards Regiments marched into the forecourt of the Queen’s London residence just before noon Monday April .16, 2018, to take part in the Changing of the Guard ceremony.

Seen here are the Band of the Irish Guards, entering the closely guarded entrance to the Palace.

The Queen was not at the Palace today so the bands entertained tourists watching Changing of the Guard with everything from classical pieces to Tom Jones ‘It’s not usual’ - with a nod of their bearskins to Prince Harry and his bride to be Meghan Markle.

The Mall was decked with flags to mark the first day of the Heads of Commonwealth Meeting, London 2019.
