The footage shows a firefighter helping the koala lying in the middle of a road and taking it to safety.
The filmer writes: ''I spotted the koala when it was walking out of the bush, I guess looking for some water.
''It was very smokey from the fires so we sprayed him down with water and gave him some to drink.
''After that, he went back up another tree in the front yard.''
The clip was filmed on April 15 in Sydney.
