A couple filmed the heart-stopping moment a ''hungry'' great white shark chases a group of seals off the coast of South Africa.

The footage, captured on March 30 in Plettenberg Bay, shows the seals swimming in the shallow waters, unaware that a predator is patrolling the bay.

All of a sudden, a shark speeds into the seals.

The couple watching the shark approaching the seals can't hide their excitement.

''Sh**!''

''No f****** way!'' the woman screams.

But the seals see the shark and quickly swim into the rocks in an attempt to escape.

''He is giving up'', says the woman as the shark swims away from the rocks.

''He can't get into the rocks,'' replies the man.

My wife and I had just got married and were trail running along the Robberg Headland on an incredible autumn day. The water was incredibly calm so we could easily see a massive great white shark patrolling the bay along the headland. When I saw some seals approaching the shark I started filming and this is the result.
