Mom not letting go of her military son after he comes home will melt your heart
After a nine-month deployment in Afghanistan, Specialist Kenny Joel Garcia, 24, returned home to Queens, New York, on April 12, 2018.
SPC Garcia’s girlfriend Hannah Long, 21, told his mother Yoelina Sheinkopf that she was stopping by to borrow a video camera, but she brought a surprise instead. SPC Garcia got to hug his mom for the first time in almost 10 months.
In the video, SPC Garcia can be seen walking through a hallway holding flowers.
He knocks on a door, and his mother comes out while he hides behind the door on the other side.
SPC Garcia’s girlfriend greets his mother to distract her while he appears from behind the door.
The mother turns around, sees her son and gives out a joyous yell.
She then hugs him and doesn’t let go.
