In the footage, Shepherd dog Heidi - lead in mouth - walks Willow around the yard.

Explains filmer and owner of the pets Grace Webb: "The new family puppy Heidi absolutely hated the horse Willow - and the horse hated the dog. (It) would chase the dog around with its ears back, etc. And now out of the blue they seem to love each other!"

"Heidi literally took the lead out of my hand and started walking Willow, I've never seen them that close before!" says their owner, Webb.

The clip was filmed in Clarkefield, a town west of Melbourne in the state of Victoria on Tuesday (May 8).
