Polish football fans accidentally ignite own stadium
In a heated standoff between Polish football teams Wisla Krakow and Lech Poznan, fans accidentally set fire to the stadium, ironically almost setting alight a giant banner reading: "We will never burn out."
The game was interrupted for around 10 minutes as firefighters were called to the stadium. Wisla Krakow took on Lech Poznan on Sunday (May 13) in the southern Polish city of Krakow.
The match ended 1-1.
The fire took place in the home team's stands.
Krakow is Poland's so-called second city, known for its medieval architecture and tumultuous World War II history.
