L'Hermione is a replica of the homonymous French warship that was in service between 1779 and 1793. Its reconstruction began in 1997 at the Rochefort arsenal and was launched on September 7, 2014.
L'Hermione of 1779 is famous for having led the Marquis de La Fayette to the United States to join the American insurgents in their struggle for independence. - L’Hermione es una réplica del navío de guerra francés homónimo que estuvo en servicio entre 1779 y 1793.
