Two Michigan natives had a shock last week (May 30) when they saw a snapping turtle climbing a large fence in their backyard.

In the clip, filmed in Waterford, Oakland County, a snapping turtle climbs Sharae's fence in her backyard - only to unceremoniously fall over the other side of the fence.

"Are you okay? What the hell!" says the stunned Sharae in the video, who was with her daughter Cali at the time.

Sharae later explained online that she spotted two large snapping turtles: "I came back out (and was) astonished (to) notice the bigger turtle climbing the fence! Then eventually (it) flipped over the fence, which was even crazier! I’ve never seen (that) ever in my life. I finally ran to see if he’s OK with him flipping into the bushes."

My daughter Cali and I (Sharae) was standing on our back porch last Wednesday May 30th 2018 in Waterford, MI when I spotted two big snapping turtles. They paused in motion so I stepped back in the doorway so they can continue on. I came back out astonished noticing the bigger turtle climbing the fence!! Then eventually flipping over the fence which was even crazier! I’ve never saw ever in my life. I finally run to see if he’s okay after him flipping into the bushes. It’s so amazing what nature has in store for us.
