Polling stations opened As early as six o'clock in the morning and by seven o'clock voters were already returning to their homes in the slums.

There was calm and enough security ,except for other parts of the country in the coast province where it was said that the Mombasa republican Council warned voters not to vote and when the security personel insisted that they must vote, they were then attacked wby machetes.

Otherwise there has been calm ,orderliness and peace everywhere in the country ,save for the little tensions and distrust among the people due to the psychological harm that was caused to them by the 2007-2008 post election violence.

Everything was punctually and very excellent especially here in Kericho town.
