This was at the Tough Mudder Virginia event in Doswell, Virginia. It was my first Tough Mudder event, and I fell in love with it because of the community. After the end of the course, in the festival area, they had this "bonus" obstacle called Pop and Lock. It was essentially a salmon ladder, which is a well known obstacle from American Ninja Warrior. At the time, I had been training to get on the show. My husband had recently left me and had the children for the weekend. I took the free weekend to go away with my family to a family event outside of DC, and took a little break from them for the Tough Mudder. I raced on my own and made some new friends, and was super excited when I saw this in the festival area. I went up the salmon ladder without a problem and decided to keep going down the monkey bars. When I felt good at the bottom I just didn't stop. I didn't even hear the people in the background until I watched my own video!!
