Parents-to-be send son on scavenger hunt for baby gender reveal
These adorable parents thought it would be fun to send their son on a scavenger hunt to find out the gender of the new family member.
The footage, captured at a home on May 19 in California, shows 4-year-old Jaxon going after several clues hidden around the house that his relatives help him to read.
The last clue leads the boy to a cake in the oven that reveals the gender of his new sibling.
When Jaxon’s mother cuts the cake, the whole family erupts in joy.
''You are going to have a baby girl,'' a relative tells Jaxon who can not hide his happiness.
Jaxon’s dad writes:''My wife wanted to do something special for the gender announcement of our baby girl and she heard about gender reveal scavenger hunts.
''It was really a way to actually involve our son and our family, instead of just making an announcement when we gathered as a family.
''My wife, Jamie, came up with all of the clues herself and just hid them around the house, making sure each person attending had a clue to read.
''Jaxon really enjoyed the process as it made him feel special. It was really memorable for the whole family.''
