Japanese Garden Party in Hammersmith Park to ICHI music
We are entering Japanese Garden Party in Hammersmith Park via an alley with newly installed stone Japanese lanterns and a wooden Japanese pagoda gateway. Visitors are seated on the grass as they are listening to live music. Bristol-based contemporary Japanese musician and instrument-maker ICHI is performing his one-man band numbers on stage. The event, hosted by the Japan Society, Embassy of Japan in the UK and Friends of Hammersmith Park, celebrated rejuvenation of Hammersmith Park - the oldest Japanese Garden in the UK and featured a wide range of Japanese traditional and contemporary music and Japanese cultural activities.
