This is the moment a female Notting Hill Carnival performer jumped up onto the top of a bus stop to dance with a man.

Video filmed on Monday afternoon (August 27) shows the two enthusiastically dancing with each other on top of the bus stop to the delight of a large crowd of onlookers at the London street festival.

According to local reports, more than one million people attended this annual two-day celebration of Caribbean culture.

The event is known for its authentic Caribbean street food, music and dances, performed by people dressed up in traditional costumes.

The filmer said: "As we made our way through the crowds, I heard a lot of cheering and screaming. It looked absolutely crazy and caught the attention of many of the hundreds of carnival goers. People cheered them on and blew vuvuzela's as they viewed the spectacle in amazement."

After their performance, the couple got down from the bus stop and slipped back into the crowd separately, the filmer said.

As most people on the afternoon of August the 27th, I was enjoying the atmosphere of the 2018 Carnival with my sister and her friend.

As we made our way through the crowds, I heard a lot of cheering and screaming. We then left the pavement and made our way onto the road to find a man dancing with one of the carnival performers on the roof of a bus stop.

It looked absolutely crazy and caught the attention of many of the hundreds of carnival goers. People cheered them on and blew vuvuzelas as they viewed the spectacle in amazement.

They both then jumped off the roof separately and back onto the road to the amusement of the crowd. It happened quickly but it's now a memory I have of the carnival experience.
