Moped Road Rage - YO15 XGF

Buy video

Right, firstly I would like to point out I was sixteen years old when the road rage happened, and I panicked a little because of the adrenaline pumping and I was very inexperienced on a moped.
Basically, what happened was me and my friend, both on 50cc mopeds, were out for a ride because he just got his CBT. As we were riding we got to a steep hill and both of our mopeds didn't have enough power to stick with the 40mph limit. Unfortunately this impatient driver decided to try and overtake my friend just before the crest of a blind hill on the A632, which has double white lines in the centre, (not double yellow I know that's what I said). My friend was then forced to within inches of the curb as the driver inched closer to him, still doing 30mph, and the driver of the white SUV managed to overtake him with oncoming traffic and forcing oncoming cars to brake and even manoeuvre to avoid a collision. He told me afterwards that he could have touched the SUV if he stuck his elbow out at one point.
I saw all of this in my mirror and I was in disbelief at the aggression and selfishness of this driver, hence my aggressive reactions to the situation. Afterwards as we exit the roundabout further down the road, I am going straight on at the traffic lights so I need to be in the right hand lane, and as I position myself the driver then tries to overtake me over more double white lines but fails. She then pulls up next to me, winds down his window they both yell "Police!" while waving his drivers license at me, and yet after all of this HE is the once that calls me a "F***ing idiot!". Then they gave me a lesson on how to drive, which involved telling me that I need to drive up against the kerb on the nearside and let cars that want to go faster than me overtake me illegally. I also have to add that she was tailgating us for a while before I turned the camera on. If they waited another 10 seconds until we were over the hill they would have had a perfectly safe opportunity to overtake us.
If you see a biker with 'L' plates on, please keep your distance and be patient and take into account that most of them are between the ages of sixteen and eighteen and are inexperienced and vulnerable, and remember that we all have to start somewhere.
