Baby Orangutan makes a Hammock!

Buy video

I took my 83 year old Grandmother to the Cleveland Zoo and Rainforest. While in the Rainforest at the Orangutan exhibit, the newly born orangutan starting playing with a rag. I started filming because it was rolling around with the rag and it was really cute. The baby orangutan than jumped on the wall right next to me and my Grandmother and than created a sort of slip knot hammock on a metal bar sticking out of the wall with the rag. It even swung in the hammock as if it had done this before. It was truly an amazing feat, especially seeing this was a newly born orangutan. It made us wonder how intelligent they truly are.
