Huge waves hit Dawlish railway line in Devon, UK
Footage has emerged of waves battering a railway line during stormy weather in Dawlish, Devon on Thursday.
The video shows a series of powerful waves reaching over a newly repaired sea wall and showering passing trains, as hurricane force winds hit the region.
An 80m stretch of the wall was destroyed last winter, leaving parts of the southwest without train services.
Met Office forecasters recorded a wind speed of 93mph at Berry Head, near Brixham, in Devon on Thursday.
