Durban Safari with Tim Brown Tours - Leopard in Hluhluwe

Buy video

Leopard in Hluhluwe game reserve is the rarest of sighting and when you get a sighting where you actually worked for it makes it that much better.
Generally Leopard sightings in Hluhluwe are pot luck where you just spot on running across the road. This sighting was different.

My clients and I were out on a 3 day Safari from Durban when in Hluhluwe I spotted "Scat" - Cat poo.
I checked it out and worked out it had to be Leopard and it was fresh!
So we continued slowly checking the thick bushes and in minuted we spotted him(young male). It was amazing! We made eye contact and as Leopards do, they look right into your soul...

We all froze, including the Leopard and waited and in seconds the Leopard ran away behind a bush. We waited but he was not to come out again.
An hour later we returned and checked the area, amazingly we spotted him 25 meters off the road in the thick bush staring at us.

Truly amazing to find the same Leopard twice in two different spots and we were the only people to see him!

What a special Durban Safari with Tim Brown Tours. If you want an amazing Safari experience join us!
