In China, a cascading bougainvillea flourishes thanks to the care of a son honoring the memory of his late father
Impressive video from southern China's Guangzhou of blooming bougainvillea growing along the exterior of a residential building, forming a "flower waterfall."
According to nearby residents, the flowers were planted by a man who lived in the building 26 years ago. After he passed away, his son, known locally as Luo, took care and nurtured it.
The family of Luo, now 70, moved into the building in 1993 and lived on the ground floor. After his dad retired, he loved to plant flowers in his spare time. Luo's dad passed away in 2012 and then he started to take care of the flowers himself, according to local media.
Clearly, he knew what he was doing. The pretty drone video shows the pink flowers climbing up to more than 30 metres high on the outer wall of the nine-storey residential building.
