Passengers onboard a grounded Southwest Airlines flight to Baltimore on Monday were surprised to hear "You Raise Me Up" playing over the aircraft speakers.

The filmer and her friends were forced to listen to the hit written by Norwegian-Irish duo Secret Garden as they waited for two hours on the runway at Norfolk International Airport.

"The irony? We weren't being raised at all," said the filmer.

Southwest Airlines are just one of the companies that experienced a technical outage, which news reports are attributing to a network problem.

Even though the tech issue has been resolved, a knock-on effect with planes being delayed and passengers missing their connecting flights.

My teacher friends and I are traveling to Puerto Rico for spring break. We thought we were getting a headed out on an early flight, but it turns out we were waiting for 2 hours on the plane due to an “outage” Southwest entertained us with this playlist, passed out water, and pretzels.
