Sheffield United fans celebrate promotion with open-top bus tour chanting 'We hate Wednesday!'
Sheffield United staff including manager Chris Wilder delighted in mocking rival fans as the team paraded around the city to celebrate promotion to the Premier League.
Footage from yesterday (May 7) shows members of the Championship team travelling on an open-top bus while fans below them chant, "We hate Wednesday" in reference to their crosstown rivals Sheffield Wednesday.
As fans placed a huge banner proclaiming "We hate Wednesday" from the multi-storey car park, Wilder is seen making his way to the front of the bus and pointing to it and then talking in the direction of supporters.
Others on the bus punch the air in delight and acknowledge the fans holding the banner.
