A bizarre video has emerged of a dog suckling a cat in Mabalacat City in the Philippines.

The highly unusual footage shows the adult cat contentedly sucking milk from the teat of a female dog called ‘Sammy’.

"I don't know how it started. Maybe it was because Sammy was pregnant, or maybe she just likes her" the shocked owner of the pets later wrote online.

Although the video was captured earlier this year it has only recently surfaced online.
