Roof ripped off Blackpool’s £20 million tram depot
Engineers are working to make safe the roof of Blackpool’s £20 million tram depot that was opened in 2011. High gusts of wind ripped off part of the roof and the roads and promenade in the area have been closed by police. The severe weather conditions have caused considerable difficulties with the provision of a tram service along the exposed sea front. Tram services have been suspended for a short time due to debris on the track.
