In the footage, captured late last month, the owner can be seen placing her eight-year-old ginger cat named ‘Charlie’ down in a snow-covered garden.

“Charlie had never been out in the snow before, so we decided to see how he would react” the filmer later online.

However, Charlie refuses to move and, instead, meows repeatedly until he is recued.

The owner can be heard saying “I feel terrible now!” as she picks her unhappy cat up at the end of the video.
