Britain’s biggest comic book fan has spent thousands of pounds amassing more than 2,000 copies of the BEANO over the past 44 years.

Dedicated Kevin Payne, 55, began collecting the iconic comic after becoming fascinated by them as a young paperboy delivering them on his rounds.

He bought his first issue of the Beano for two pence in 1975 aged ten-years-old and since then has collected a staggering 2003 copies.

Kevin has managed to purchase almost every single edition- from the 2,000th to the recently released 4,000th - catching up with the capers of Dennis the Menace, Minnie the Minx, The Bash Street Kids and Co.
