The coaches carrying the royal regalia - the Imperial State Crown, the Cap of Maintenance and the Great Sword of State are returning after the State Opening of Parliament ceremony via Horse Guards in Whitehall.
The dazzling Imperial State Crown, containing 2,868 diamonds, 17 sapphires, 11 emeralds, 269 pearls and 4 rubies, is normally placed on the Queen's head for the State Opening of Parliament, but was replaced with a lighter George IV State Diadem (the Diamond Diadem) for this year's ceremony.
