Five injured and press crews detained following Israeli suppression of Palestinian anti-occupation march
Five protesters were injured on October 26, after Israeli soldiers suppressed a peaceful march in Al-Homa area in the northern Jordan Valley.
The Israeli troops fired a barrage of tear gas and flashbangs to disperse the marchers, who were called by the groups the Wall and Settlement Authority and the National Liberation Movement "Fatah" in Tubas, a city in the northeast West Bank.
These measures resulted in the injury of four citizens due to suffocation, in addition to an elderly man who was taken to hospital for treatment.
The soldiers then reportedly detained a number of press crews, and prevented them from covering the event, as well as detaining an ambulance and seizing its keys.
