Unvailing of the first Jack's Discount Superstore (Chatteris)
Jack's is a subsidiary of Tesco and in Sep 2018 it opened the first of several discount stores to compete with Aldi and Lidl. Chatteris was chosen as it already had a brand new mothballed Tesco building and this was converted to the new outlet. The footage shows a variety of different angle outside the store as it goes through the unvailing process. This was a big event for Chatteris which is a small town in the rural area of Fenland in East Anglia, an area hit by lack of jobs and infrastructure.
