Tappan Zee Bridge Demolition (January 2019)
With the new bridge built and in operation, they tore down the old Tappan Zee Bridge in New York. While taking it apart, the one span was found to be too unsafe for workers to safely dismantle it. The easiest solution would be to use explosives and have it fall into the Hudson River. This video shows them using explosives to destroy the span and safely dispose of it.
