Eyewitness captures the moment knife attacker is shot dead after stabbing one person to death and injuring two others Friday (January 3) in the Parisien suburb of Villejuif.

The video was filmed by Moustapha Moussawas from the roof of Carrefour, where the filmer works, when he was picking up his scooter from the shop’s car park.

According to Moustapha, the shop was on lockdown from 2 p.m. to 5/5:30 p.m. until police started to let people out very slowly.

The attack took place shortly after 2 p.m. in the Parc des Bruyères and then in the commune of Hay-les-Roses where the assailant was shot dead by police.

Moustapha told Newsflare: “When I first heard the shots, I thought they were fireworks and then I got closer to see what was happening.

“Police asked him to stay down and not move but he was listening and then started firing again.”

On Saturday (January 4) the national anti-terrorist prosecutor's office announced that it had taken up the investigation.
