Hurricane like winds came close to breaking my window on Friday, January 17th 9:35 pm. The winds were 80m/h (128 km/h) to 90m/h (140 km/h) Luckily we still had our power at this point, but you can see the aggressiveness of the wind as it spins and twirls under the street light outside.

My phone is directly laid against the window as I wanted to capture what I was hearing at full capacity, yet it still does not due the real experience justice as the sounds coming from my window were frightening and we were scared it would follow through in breaking. Best to have the sound on when watching this video.

The city of St. John's Newfoundland was currently in a State of Emergency issued throughout the province, which lasted in St. John's until the following Saturday. Many were trapped in there homes due to the record breaking snowfall that left many without work and food and power, for days. The Canadian armed forces were later sent into the province for relief efforts.
